Juniper Briggs

Juniper Briggs is a mixed media artist with a focus on abstract faces and figures. Presently based outside of Tucson Arizona, Juniper grew up in a community of artists in the Mountains of North Carolina. It was there, surrounded by glass blowers, potters and painters, that she first learned to appreciate art. As a young adult, her international travels to Mexico, Spain and beyond, impacted her love of art from around the world.

Juniper’s work explores themes of the human experience with an exuberant hope that stems from her faith. Her work utilizes both abstract faces and figures to navigate a spectrum of emotion—from longing and whimsy to vulnerability and strength. Rooted in a spirit of playful curiosity, her compositions explore themes of self reflection, human relationships, and our connection to the world around us.

Juniper’s work pulls stylistically from both cubism and the classics, weaving them into a more modern and decidedly feminine perspective. Bold confident mark-making and rich layers of texture offer a spontaneous energy that is balanced by thoughtful, refined color palettes and emotive compositions.

Juniper’s work has appeared on the cover of Art & Edit Magazine and in such publications such as Elle Canada. She has collaborated with numerous brands including Framebridge and All Modern. Her work resides in the homes of collectors both nationally and internationally.
